The safest way to add streaming and utility apps to Fire TV is through the built-in Amazon Appstore. A careful install process reduces the chance of using a fake app or an unsafe download.
Open the Appstore
From the Fire TV home screen, open Find or Apps and search for the service you need. Read the app title, developer name and description before selecting Get or Download.
Check the developer
Similar names and copied logos can make unofficial apps look convincing. Compare the developer information with the service’s official website and avoid links sent by unknown accounts.
Use your own account
Sign in only through the official app and its normal on-screen flow. Never send an Amazon password to a support contact or enter it into an unrelated downloader.
Keep the app updated
Allow normal Appstore updates and remove apps you no longer use. If an app behaves strangely, uninstall it and contact the official service support team.
Avoid unverified APK instructions
Installing files from unknown websites can create security, privacy and reliability risks. FireDroid recommends legitimate apps and supported device features rather than unauthorized copies.
